10 Solid Celluloid (Cellulose Acetate) BIRD Figures, circa 1940/50s

Description

Beautiful group of 10 bird figures of the quality rarely seen in contemporary art.  I would estimate these to be from the late 1940s to early 1950s and are all solid celluloid (cellulose acetate) material of the type of figures made in early Japan.  All have intricate soft tone of colors rubbed/painted as highlights except the large cockatoo which has painted eyes. These would perfect for several decorating ideas and crafts whether simply displayed on a shelf or added to enhance a potted plant.  All appear to be in very good condition with minor wear and no notable damage.
